The weekly weekend tours of North London SuperHomes have been running since September 2014 and are set to continue until the end of March 2015. Each tour is an opportunity to visit a refurbished older home and to speak to a homeowner about their experience of installing energy efficiency measures.

Smart Homes is a new scheme offering grants to residents (both owner occupiers and landlords) in the areas listed above. These grants can be used to install solid wall insulation and other energy conservation measures. Grants are being allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

See our Open House Events page for details of the remaining events. 8 SuperHome households are opening their doors to the public in Camden, Muswell Hill, Hackney and Haringey. The homes are Edwardian and Victorian properties which all feature some form of solid wall insulation – internal or external – or, in some cases both.

In each home you can visit, a carbon saving of over 60% has been achieved by taking a whole house approach to refurbishment using a range of insulation materials and lower carbon approaches to space heating.
