Radian SuperHomer gets Gold Ashden Award

Posted on 17.06.2011

Every year the Ashden Awards holds a vibrant ceremony attended by around 500 people including leading figures from the business, academic, investor, environmental, political and media spheres. At last nights awards ceremony (June 16th 2011) SuperHomer Paul Ciniglio from Radian received the prestigious 2011 Ashden Award for Radian Housing Association’s carbon cutting work, including the Radian SuperHome.

Adding to that great news, Radian  also won the gold “Best of the Best” Award. The awards were presented by Kevin McCloud, of Grand Designs fame.  SEA won the Award in 2009 and had pleasure in being a referee for Radian’s submission (not the Best of the Best Award, it was not invented then).  Our congratulations go out to Paul and his CEO Lindsay Todd who has supported Paul in his work.

Posted on 20.04.2011

The Radian Conference, Winchester Guildhall, 20th May 2011

Following the successful launch event for the ‘Retrofit South East’ project in 2009 when more than 150 delegates gathered to learn from Radian’s experience, expertise and future plans, Radian has continued to develop it’s position as a leading advocate and pioneer of advanced house retrofit solutions.

As the first housing association in the UK to receive funding from the European Regional Developement Fund (ERDF) for retrofit of social housing, Radian are well placed to lead the debate on how to make the best use of the available funding and encourage additional resources to accelerate our collective contribution to reducing carbon emissions.
