The Ecology Building Society’s new C-Change Retrofit discount cuts the cost of a mortgage where it results in a step improvement in a home’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating.
The householder gets 0.25% off the Ecology’s variable rate for each step up towards A rating. if the EPC rating improves from E to C after work are completely, a discount of 0.5% will be available on the whole of the mortgage for the duration of the loan.
This is one of a number of mortgages offered by the Ecology which reward energy efficiency and eco-home owners. See the Ecology Building Society website for further details.
