Radian SuperHomer gets Gold Ashden Award

Posted on 17.06.2011

Every year the Ashden Awards holds a vibrant ceremony attended by around 500 people including leading figures from the business, academic, investor, environmental, political and media spheres. At last nights awards ceremony (June 16th 2011) SuperHomer Paul Ciniglio from Radian received the prestigious 2011 Ashden Award for Radian Housing Association’s carbon cutting work, including the Radian SuperHome.

Adding to that great news, Radian  also won the gold “Best of the Best” Award. The awards were presented by Kevin McCloud, of Grand Designs fame.  SEA won the Award in 2009 and had pleasure in being a referee for Radian’s submission (not the Best of the Best Award, it was not invented then).  Our congratulations go out to Paul and his CEO Lindsay Todd who has supported Paul in his work.

John Doggart and other SuperHomers represented over a third of the speakers at the recent Radian Conference on 20th May.  This sell-out meeting was a fantastic success, and included Chris Huhne the Secretary of State.  Helping him out were SuperHomers Colin Butfield, Paul Ciniglio, Peter Evans (Radian) and Russell Smith as well as Cathy Hough our assessor in the West of England.  During the conference SuperHomes were mentioned with approval by many of the speakers, not just SuperHomers.

SuperHomes are becoming famous!
